The cult classic crime saga Gangs of Wasseypur is back with its third installment, featuring Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Richa Chadda, Reemma Sen and Zeishan Quadri in the lead roles. The film is directed by Anurag Kashyap and written by Zeishan Quadri, who also plays the role of Definite Khan, the son of Sardar Khan (Manoj Bajpayee) and Durga (Reemma Sen).
The film picks up from where Gangs of Wasseypur 2 left off, with Definite avenging his father's death by killing Ramadhir Singh (Tigmanshu Dhulia), the ruthless coal mafia don. However, his victory is short-lived as he faces new enemies and challenges in the form of Ramadhir's son J.P. Singh (Satyakam Anand), his rival Sultan (Pankaj Tripathi) and his own cousin Faizal Khan (Nawazuddin Siddiqui), who is now the undisputed king of Wasseypur.
The film promises to be a thrilling ride of violence, betrayal, revenge and dark humor, as the characters struggle to survive and dominate in the lawless land of Wasseypur. The film also explores the socio-political dynamics of Bihar (North India) in the backdrop of the coal and scrap trade mafia, and the influence of Bollywood cinema on the lives and aspirations of the people.
The film is expected to release on 22nd December 2023, coinciding with the birthday of Anurag Kashyap. The film has already generated a lot of buzz among the fans and critics alike, who are eagerly waiting to witness the epic conclusion of the Gangs of Wasseypur saga.
